Subject: Upcoming Ordeal Weekend

 

Brothers,

 

            The first ordeal weekend of the year is less than 2 weeks away.
It will be held at Camp Bullowa, May 9th - 11th. If you have yet to
register, do so now, a registration form is attached. Directions to the camp
are available on the council website, www.hvcbsa.org
<http://www.hvcbsa.org/> . This weekend is promising to be fun with a great
program being put together by Brendan Kelly and the Rockland Chapter. 

            Also, this weekend we will have a Brotherhood Ceremony on
Saturday night. If you are currently an ordeal member, and have been a
member of the Order of the Arrow for 10 months or longer, you are eligible
for Brotherhood. Brotherhood is a great opportunity for all arrowmen, for it
provides full access to all the privileges offered by the Order of the
Arrow. Such privileges include the Order of the Arrow Ocean Adventure at
Florida Sea Base and Order of the Arrow Trail Crew at Philmont. These
opportunities offer you a chance to attend a high adventure base for a
highly discounted cost. For example, Order of the Arrow Trail Crew at
Philmont is only $150, while if you attend Philmont with your troop, you
would be paying upwards of $600. To get your Brotherhood, simply register
and show up to any one of the upcoming weekends. 

            If you are already brotherhood, or not yet eligible for
brotherhood, there is still plenty of things to do during the weekend. You
can help out with service projects, participate in the ceremonies, serve as
an elangomat, assist the trading post, help run the fun Saturday night
program, etc. 

If you have any questions in regard to the weekend, you can contact me at
(845)-242-3575. My cell phone is currently not working, but I should have a
new one by Thursday. You can also email me at flybyf14 at frontiernet.net, up
until this Wednesday. On this Thursday, my current email will be destroyed
and a new one will be made. It will be ________ at optonline.net. I will notify
everyone on Friday what the new email will be.
