Brothers,

With the 2008 Section NE-2C Conclave just days away, the Section Leadership
and the Brothers of Shu-Shu-Gah Lodge eagerly await your arrival to Camp
Keowa of the Ten Mile River Scout Camps. Below you will find information
which answers some of the frequently asked questions we have already
received regarding the conclave. We hope you all have a safe journey to
camp.

HOUSING
All conclave participants will be housed in standard BSA wall tents with
cots. There is no need to bring your own tent unless of course you would
prefer to.

SHOWER FACILITIES
Camp Keowa's shower facilities will be available throughout the weekend so
please be sure to bring the necessary toiletries.

MEDICAL FORMS
All conclave participants MUST bring the conclave medical form completely
filled out to the conclave! If you do not have a copy of the medical please
go to http://www.ne2c.org/fs/page/000945/08medical.pdf to download the
medical form today and bring it with you to camp. You will not be able to
participate in any Conclave activities without having a medical form on file
in the Camp Office.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
The Camp Keowa office phone number is (845) 252-2027. Office personnel will
be available throughout the day and will pass on any emergency messages to
conclave participants if necessary.

UNIFORMS
Full BSA field uniforms are required for various portions of the weekend's
program including training, meals, the evening show, and Sunday morning.
Please be sure you have an appropriate uniform to wear throughout the
weekend. Activity uniforms (Scouting T-shirt, shorts and socks) are
appropriate for the Saturday afternoon activities.

WATERFRONT ACTIVITIES
Many of the Camp Keowa waterfront activities will be available so be sure to
bring your bathing suit if you wish to cool off during the Saturday
afternoon program offerings.

THEME MEALS
The Shu-Shu-Gah Lodge kitchen staff has been working hard to develop theme
meals that tie into the Indiana Jones theme of our weekend. We invite all
conclave participants to partake in the theme meals by dressing the part. If
you have any "Hawaiian", "Jungle", "Asian" or "Western" attire, please be
sure to bring those items with you to join in the fun. This of course
includes, but is in no way limited to, your grass skirts, jungle boots,
vests, hats, kimonos, your "best" cowboy boots and those 10 gallon hats to
name a few!

DIRECTIONS
Directions to Camp Keowa can be found on the Section website at
http://www.ne2c.org/conclave/directions or if you have GPS device or wish to
use one of many online direction finders, please use the address below to
find your way to Camp Keowa. Signs will be posted from the major highways in
the area to Camp Keowa for your ease. Look for the signs with the large OA
Arrowheads on them as they will point the way!
