Nn86news: Transition

Brothers;
I just want to bring the Lodge up to date on the  events that will
transpire upon Mike Kling's election to Section  Chief;

Due to the fact that Mike may have to preside over a  sectional meeting(
Council of Chiefs), before our next Ordeal, Mike will  officially resign his
position on September 7th at our next LEC  meeting.
At that time, Tom Raco, our Vice-Chief of  Administration, will take over
as interim Lodge Chief until our Lodge  elections on October 26th.
At that time, Tom will preside over  the new elections, and step down
from his interim position to allow for a new  election for Lodge Chief.

Please Note; there has been some  confusion about the elimination of the
positions of Vice-Chief of Service,  and Vice- Chief of Activities. There was
a discussion, at our last Ordeal  Weekend, about changing both post to
Chairmen positions, as they were in the  past. The proposal was discussed,
with great interest, but for this to happen  it can only be done with a
change in the By-Laws, and this hasn't  happened.
Therefore unless something happens, very quickly,  these positions will
still be in effect for the next year, and will be up for  elections.
